I create works that are abstract, but with an old, worn feel. Texture is created by adding layers of acrylic paint over a concrete like mixture applied to canvas or paper. Then I cut, paste, chip and sand till I get the desired result.
Many of my pieces have titles as part of the painting. For me the title can be the best part, designed to make you smile, reflect or perhaps question. I want each viewer to respond to my art. In evoking response, my art, my story has touched another's reality.
